Year one · 20 Sept 2025 to 20 Sept 2026 · the core sample

The years before, in his words

I worked in media tech, HR tech, ad tech, edtech, fintech, travel tech and e-commerce. I was the product person in each one, sitting close to the founder. The industry changed every time. The job underneath never did. Work out what to build next, and what to leave alone.

Before that I was at IIT Kanpur from 2017 to 2021. I tried nearly every profile the campus offered before I found the one that fit.

September 2025. I opened the studio on my own, as help a business could add and grow with.

What those years taught

What the certificates could not teach.

Courses turned real only inside a live problem.

Read it in full

I collected the courses. MIT, Berkeley, Stanford, the whole Coursera shelf. They only turned real once I was inside a live problem. A real problem already has 20 published solutions waiting. Picking the right one is the entire job. You pick it in money and in time, and it costs more thought than people expect.

The founder who set the bar.

Watching one founder decide taught more than any module.

Read it in full

One of them was crisp, concise and careful with money, at 12 visible hours a day. Watching him decide taught me more than any module did. He was choosing all day, in the open, where you could see the reasoning.

Why I never wanted to write the code by hand.

Product work felt like being the class monitor.

Read it in full

Coding always felt robotic to me. Thoughtful majdoori, hand labour with a brain attached. Product work felt closer to being the class monitor. You are rarely the cleverest person in the room. You are the one keeping the room pointed at the right thing. Every department has a next decision waiting. Somebody has to pick it well.

In his own words

Then the class changed. Every person in that room is powered by AI agents now. The monitor's job is worth more than it has ever been.

The turn

I was already building automations on n8n and Make. I was dry testing every new vibe coding tool as it landed. One evening the arithmetic became obvious.

The rest of the turn

The work excited me. It removed the code labour I disliked. It left me the part I am good at, which is the decision nobody can automate. It also hands a business back the hour it never has, the one for thinking. People avoid that hour. It is where the insight for your biggest number usually hides, and businesses carry several of those numbers at once.

Then the founder came back. The work stopped being a brief handed over and finished. It became ground I kept coming back to.

Where the tree came from

That is where the tree arrived, and it was a description rather than a picture. A system gets planted in ground the partner owns and grafted to fit that one business. It compounds season by season, so it needs a gardener who stays.

We stay after the build, and that is the whole offer now.

Year two

Year 2 is the long game.

The year began as one-off help. It grew into a practice that stays after the build, with partners who come back for more. In year 2, some of them become long-term partners.
